I spent 18 years in veterinary medicine working my way from front desk to assistant to working as a technician when we didn't have one. Over the years, I've learned the ins and outs of small veterinary clinics. I learned early on that you won't always get that lunch break, and leaving on time is almost a myth. Having time to make your clinic stand out and offer something extra is not always feasible. Finding time to say thank you is often lost and time to show appreciation is sometimes overlooked. Fortunately, I was able to carve out just enough of that precious time and start a Myspace page (yes, you read that right, Myspace!) at my first clinic. It wasn't much but keeping clients in the loop and spotlighting our staff was a major win. It started a passion for social media and reaching people on a larger level and I've been doing it ever since.
From there I've had the privilege to add to my services. Keeping up with not only social media but websites as well. Working on info-graphs, clinic displays, and even beautification projects. Being able to build trust with my teams and leaders has played a huge role in communication, scheduling and problem solving.
My desire to go beyond the day to day and fill in the gaps between duties and chores is what lead me here. My mission is to help not only veterinary clinics and their staff, but other small businesses as well, to make it through the day with a little less stress. Help them feel appreciated in an often thankless profession and help keep clients engaged and informed.
While we are geared more towards the veterinary field, because that's what we know best, we are always happy to talk with any small business owner that may be looking for "A Little Extra" for their staff, clients, and overall success!
